adams outlet fly fishing co

Who knows, when you need an excuse to wet a line one of them might come in handy. I grew up fishing rivers and streams for bass with my father this is what led me to learn how to fly fish.

It has always seemed to me that native trout are much harder fighters, and any experienced trout fisherman will tell you that native rainbows are much more beautiful than their genetically altered, stocked cousins. The length of your rod will vary with water conditions, but for me ultra light rods and reels make smallmouth fishing much more fun. Common sense says that the more fish lurking in your fishing spot, the more likely you are to be successful in your fishing ventures.

Most fish have a very sensitive sense of smell. Freshwater fishing yields smaller fish in many cases, but you also can go whenever you want. Having your live bait at you fingertips is extremely important, and this can be accomplished by using a bait bag.

Fish with your preferred fishing lure and if you see bass along the shallows and they won't take your lure, put a live leech on a hook and flip it out there. Once you learn where and when fish eat and what time of day they are more likely to feed, you will have a lot more success.
